After years of waiting and a troubled development process, Buttonwillow's new track "The Circuit" is open. The development process was interupted due to Fish & Wildlife raising concerns over a local animal, that wound up being dead, or at least to quote Buttonwillow's Facebook account: "Track #2 is built around 9.87 acres dedicated to an individual male deceased kangaroo rat". Various track orgs are posting dates for the new track already, so go check out the Calendar over on at the official Buttonwillow website! Check out this In Depth Track Guide:
Hoosiers New 200tw tire: Track Attack

In the not so distant past, Continental tires acquired Hoosier, bringing together two tire producing powerhouses and resulting in a lot of technology crossover. Continental already had a great 200tw offering, the Extreme Contact Force, but it was more of an enthusiast tire and not really a "super" or "enduro" 200tw tire. This left a bit of a gap in the offerings of Hoosier/Continental compared to their competitors... and thus Hooiser came to release it's new entry into the "super" 200tw tire category, the Hoosier Track Attack tire. We'll try and get a review of the tire out this season if we can get our hands on a pair, but for now, here's the promo description from Hooiser: Designed for drivers who live life on the edge, demanding the ultimate track day weapon, the TrackAttack Pro masters both street and track. Harnessing Hoosier’s unparalleled racing DNA, taking track dominance to the street, the TrackAttack Pro drives highly addictive performance. This revolutionary extreme performance summer tire awakens mundane commutes, empowers epic track days – and ignites legendary journeys in between.

On the off chance you aren't familiar with the powerhouse that is GSpeed in the C5 Corvette racing world, they've been the premier shop for high end C5 Corvette racing products. One of the more notable individuals working there, Luis Gigliotti, has decided to spin off on his own though from GSpeed to focus on doing his own thing, Luis Gigliotti Racing aka LGR. Some of their early offerings include a killer dual oil cooler kit and a laydown radiator kit. Both are surely must have items for the C5 Corvette owner doing track days, races, or drifting their cars and wanting to ensure that the car lives that much longer!

Welcome to the first news article from C5Corvettes.com! This website is mostly starting as a spinoff of https://www.shredjesse.com/1999-c5-corvette, where author "Shred Jesse" started out mostly writing about mods he did on his own personal Corvette. Jesse quickly found though he was spinning up a lot of fairly generic content based on his research and it took away from the more pointed articles, like data driven testing of the C5 Corvette with Cadillac Brembos. That said, the goal is for this to become more than just an extension of Shred Jesse's blogging. We're looking to get more writers in here, cover relevant news to the C5 Corvette, and ideally start reviewing a lot of the products out there. Thanks for tuning in, and we hope to see more of you folks around!
